Why can’t we be more like children? They embody so much of what we aspire to: naturalness of posture, presence in activity, intrepid inquisitiveness, adaptive learning, and authentic loving… they are the salt of the earth. We need children just as much as they need us. Their genuiness disarms us, opens the key to the heart door, and tickles us in our most tender spots; our most protected ones. Children guide us to the depth of human emotion and help us see ourselves for what we are.
